This Week at St. Pauls

Call Returned Pastor Jeremy Laitinen has returned our call to be a pastor at St. Paul’s.  The next call meeting will be in January.

“The King Shall Come” Advent by Candlelight Program  Thursday, December 7th at 2:00 pm in the Church basement (immediately following the Ladies Aid Christmas Gathering).  Come celebrate the season of Advent with devotional reflections, prayer, hymns and the lighting of candles.  All are welcome!

WOMEN OF ST. PAUL'S You are invited to the Ladies Aid Christmas Gathering on Thursday, December 7th at 12 noon.  The program will include a Potluck lunch, Childcare Singers, White Elephant gift exchange and an Advent by Candlelight program.  All are welcome!  The Advent by Candlelight program will begin at approximately 2 pm.  Hostesses are Gloria Frees and Lori Balistrieri.

Martin Luther College Christmas Concert You are invited to watch the MLC Christmas Concert via livestream on the screen here in church on Sunday, December 3rd at 4:00 pm.  A light supper will be served after the concert, which will end about 5:30.  Please sign up on the page in the front classroom so we know how many will be here for the meal.

Wednesday Advent Services will take place on November 29th, December 6th & 13 at 6:00 pm.  These services are a great opportunity to gather your family around God’s word with fellow believers as we prepare to celebrate the birth of our Savior.  Supper will be served starting at 5:00 pm.  The menu for November 29th is ham, loaded mashed potatoes, green beans and rolls.  Sign-up sheets for desserts are in the room with your mailboxes.

Gifts for the Homebound Ministry On Monday, December 11th the Ladies Aid will be packing treats for the homebound members.  You may bring donations of fruit (smaller sized, no bananas, please) cookies, candy or packaged treats.  Donations may be left in the kitchen until 9:30 am on December 11th.  Please label your items for “Homebound” member treat bags.  We expect to assemble 17 packages.  We appreciate the donations and help that we receive from our fellow members.  If you have questions, please call Irene Petrik at (920) 582-7734.

Spiritual Gift Ideas Our synod’s Northwestern Publishing House has books, devotionals and gift ideas for the Christmas season.  There are some tear-off pages available on the table in the church entry.

Church Directories Our Church Directories have arrived.  If you had your picture taken or submitted a picture, your copy is in your mailbox in the front classroom.

Social Media Coordinator Pastor Berger is looking for a volunteer to help manage our church Facebook page.  More posts means more views & possibly more people hearing the gospel.  Please speak with Pastor Berger, if interested.

Crafts for Missions Again this year we invite your donations of handcrafted items.  Others will have the opportunity to “buy” them with donations that will go to WELS Christian Aid & Relief and Winneconne Area Assistance Center.  Items are displayed in the front classroom.

Christmas Decorating We plan to decorate the church for Christmas on Sunday, November 26th at 11:30 am.  We have new decorations!  We would also like to put up the arch, but need enough help to do it.  Please join us.

Christmas Cards Our St. Paul’s Ladies Aid have stocked the shelves in the overflow area with Christmas cards.  They are sold by the box (price is on the back of the box).  We also have cards for new baby, encouragement, birthday, sympathy and other cards are on sale, single or by the box.
